In order to strengthen bilateral relations with Iceland, Atlantik Fish participated in a business mission to the country, promoted in October 2017 under the EEA Grants program.
In addition to Atlantik Fish, the mission consisted of a group of other national marine economy entities that aimed to establish contacts and possible partnerships with local companies and research centers in the areas of marine biotechnology and fish processing.
The EEA Grants 2014-2021 is a European funding mechanism that has Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein as donor states. The DGPM is the operating entity of the program “Blue Growth, Innovation and SMEs”, whose allocation of 44.7 M €, until 2021, will be distributed by three program areas, namely business development, Innovation and SMEs; investigation; and education, scholarships, literacy and youth entrepreneurship.
